  • Air cushions are used, when possible, to upright a loaded tractor trailer without having to offload the trailer. We have extensive experience in air cushion recovery that can save you time and money on your heavy-duty recovery.

Hope for the best……….plan for the worst!

You do everything you can to prevent accidents, but you must also be prepared in the event that something does happen:

Plan
  • Do your drivers know who to contact in the event of a breakdown or accident?
  • What do you want your drivers to say and not to say to emergency personnel?
  • Do your vehicles have all necessary documentation?
    • Insurance, licensing, permit information, etc
  • Do you know your rights?
    • Unless your vehicle is being impounded, you have the right to request a local provider of your choice.
  • Do your drivers know to avoid chasers?
    • Chasers are towing companies and operators that rush to the scene without being called. Chasers often charge exorbitant prices, in some cases are not qualified for the job, and in extreme cases do not have proper insurance or licensing.
  • Do you have preferred service providers for these situations?
    • Talk to providers in regions most traveled, understand their pricing, qualifications and equipment.
Communicate
  • Prepare a breakdown/accident procedure and ensure that your vehicles contain a copy
  • Ensure that your vehicles contain a list of preferred providers (towing / recovery, mobile mechanics, tire companies, environment clean-up, etc)
  • Train your safety teams, dispatchers and drivers on the proper procedures
